Siri Reminders

Brian Zink, A.P.,  American School Foundation of Guadalajara, A.C., MX
As an assistant principal walking the hallways is one of the easiest ways to be engaged with students and teachers. With that comes frequent requests that we are often times quick to answer, "YES, of course!"

"Yes! I will send that to you when I get back to my office...Yes! Stop by for the absence form during break... Yes! I will schedule the meeting for us...". Sometimes from one yes to the next it is difficult to track all of the commitments we have made during a single passing period or lunch break.

Siri reminders is the perfect digital assistant to track my hallway commitments or my day's to-do list developed on my morning walk with Kuno dog. Once you have Siri turned on it literally only requires holding the home button.

Simply prompt Siri using according to the device, and try it out

"Siri remind to__________ today at 10:15am."
"Siri remind me 25 minutes to go to the Science Lab to see the experiment they are doing."
Or even better turn on the location based reminders feature and simply say, "Siri remind me when I arrive to work on Monday to send that reminder email to staff about the drill."

It is awkward at first, but once you develop your Siri habit she is the perfect digital assistant for any administrator as we are all constantly on the go.
